Adding estrogen
Although some women find relief for their endometriosis symptoms when adding estrogen, painful symptoms persist for others. Why is that you might wonder? The answer seems to lie in the importance of keeping the endocrine system, our hormonal system, in balance naturally. Using local estrogen creams might not increase the levels to such an extent that oral contraceptives or contraceptive implants would, but can still be enough to create even more havoc in your body. Keeping hormones balanced naturally, which can be done with homeopathic treatment, is key for allround wellbeing.
Hormon Replacent Therapy, or HRT as it is commonly known as, is prescribed to women going through menopause. Sadly, it appears that this type of estrogen containing medication also has the potential to remind the body to start producing more endometrial growths in different parts of the body. Although you might find that your hot flushes and anxiety are things of the past, your endometriosis may get a new lease of life. Finding balance using homeopathy
Many women around the world have found that their hormonal system has been brought into balance through homeopathic treatment. There are many different homeopathic remedies and various treatment methods available, and symptoms fired by hormonal imbalance often respond very well to homeopathic treatment. One of my recent patients suffering with endometriosis, for instance, found that homeopathic treatment initially took the edge of the symptoms and she became almost symptom free within a few months by taking remedies at different times in her cycle. We have still got some work to do, but going from agony, mental anguish and bedrest for days, to being able to function properly and getting on with her days during flare-ups has made a huge difference to her life.
Searching for a solution
In the infinite search for relief from endometriosis symptoms, many women opt for external artificially produced or bioidentical estrogen creams in the hope that their painful and debilitating symptoms will abate. Besides an increase in inflammation markers, endometriosis is largely stimulated by hormones fluctuating throughout the menstrual cycle. Applying estrogen creams certainly seem to help some women, but the question remains as to what effect these creams have on the whole hormonal system, and ultimately the person using the cream?
Adding to the problem
Our bodies are constantly actively working to find balance. An excess or deficiency in estrogen, in relation to other hormones, can make a huge difference in women’s attitude to life and overall health. Estrogen deficiency or excess can cause a whole host of physical, mental and emotional issues. Anything from endometriosis and other menstrual issues to depression, anxiety and mood swings to name a few. Contraceptive medication is not the only threat to upsetting the equilibrium, the balance, as many other external factors also contribute to the problem. Stress, poor diet, nutrition, certain plastics, pollution, etc., are all partly to blame too. Remember that the nutrition in your body can be poor despite a good diet if your digestive system is not functioning as it should. Fortunately, there is a solution to hormones in chaos.
A solution
Have you ever questioned the statements that effective treatment for endometriosis is not yet available and that treatment can only be provided to manage symptoms? I was told periods are painful, and that was that. It wasn’t until I came into contact with homeopathy for my son and eventually sought treatment for my endometriosis symptoms, that I realised that I didn’t have to live with all the various painful and life limiting chronic symptoms I had, and that treatment for endometriosis is already out there.
