I often hear of women diagnosed with endometriosis, being put on two different contraceptive pills since being on one doesn’t always help. They are still in pain. They still bleed too much or too little. Their emotions are all over the place. Some report back that two different pills work for them, in other words they are more or less symptom free. Does that mean that they are being healed? What would happen if they stopped? What would happen should they want to try to become pregnant?

Hormonal chaos and the pill

By using the contraceptive pill, or as the case may be, multiple pills, oestrogen which is believed to produce endometriosis in some females can be suppressed to avoid or manage flare-ups. For some women this type of treatment does what it says it will. It reduces or removes the pain of endometriosis, whilst for other women who are sensitive to synthetic hormones, it just causes havoc.

Being on one hormonal treatment produces an imbalance in the hormones orchestrating the delicate female menstrual cycle. I can only imagine what being put on two would do.

Working with symptoms rather than against

In clinic, I use homeopathic remedies to work with my patients’ physical, mental and emotional symptoms, rather than working against them. Sometimes, in serious and/or life threatening situations, working against would definitely be the right thing to do. But is it right in longterm, chronic diagnoses to suppress hormones and symptoms? I don’t think so.

Avoid chaos with homeopathy

Balancing your hormones naturally with homeopathy has the potential to bring your menstrual cycle into a natural rhythm, for the first time for many sufferers. Hormones balanced naturally provide a healthy environment for your hormones to communicate well with each other, in order to keep you healthy, as opposed to symptom free.

By using homeopathy, you will access treatment on different levels including deep treatment to reduce your tendency to produce the symptoms of endometriosis (and many of the other symptoms that often goes with this diagnosis). You will also be provided with remedies for when the symptoms are difficult to handle until you can manage without.
